After
our founding during the 1970s by the Malvaso family, the neighborhood
pizza manufacturing business was acquired by Lawrence Farago in 1982
and named after his youngest son Dante.
A first generation American
born to Italian immigrants, Mr. Farago was influenced greatly by his
mother when it came to
formulating his
pizza products.
Mama Farago was a
well-regarded Italian
cook. Her recipes and many more provide the basis for all
the products made by Dante’s today.
Mr.
Farago knew that good-tasting homemade style food could not come from
high-speed automated food processing machinery. And he was right.
Dante’s
makes everything by hand and maintains that “fresh from Mrs.
Farago’s kitchen” taste. You won’t find any pizza product like ours
anywhere.
Today
the Farago family
tradition remains
unchanged…good quality food made by hand from quality ingredients and
fast frozen for your enjoyment at home.
